SGS is a Francophone School.

We are very proud that our School is now part of the French-speaking Schools Network. We were named as one of the schools that show excellence in the teaching and learning of French in Colombia. 

On 21st August, the selection committee to obtain the francophone seal of approval (2024 applications) was held by the Institut Français Colombie and the Ambassade de France.

The committee was made up of:
Mr. Paulo Pais, Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Action of the French Embassy.
Ms. Ximena Carrasco, promotion and prospecting attaché at the Bureau du Québec in Bogota.
Ms. Jenniffer Andrea Fajardo Vasquez, Intercultural and Bilingual Education Programme of the Ministry of Education.
Ms. Catherine Jourdainne, pedagogical director of the Alliance Française de Bogota
Mrs. Maria-Fernanda Guerrero, educational programmes manager, Institut Français Colombie
Mr. Sebastien Portelli, attaché for educational cooperation at the French Embassy.

Of the 14 applications received, 11 schools were approved by the Commission. The network includes 29 schools in Colombia, 22 private schools and 7 public ones. This network brings together 99 French teachers and more than 15,000 French students.

We are very proud of this recognition and we will continue excel in the teaching of the French language
