Last Saturday, November 23, our community had the privilege of enjoying the SGS Musical 2024: The Jungle Book, a production that captivated the audience with its creativity and talent. Held at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, this event had two performances, at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., bringing together more than 200 high school students who gave life to a fantastic adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's classic.

This original version was written and directed by two alumni of school and narrated the thrilling journey of Mowgli, the boy raised among wolves, as he confronts the fearsome tiger Shere Khan and seeks to save the jungle and his friends. Passionate performances, perfectly executed choreography and music performed by our SGS Symphony Orchestra created an unforgettable experience.

Student participation was not limited to the stage, as there were also production assistants who demonstrated their commitment and creativity behind the scenes. In addition, the 4:00 p.m. performance offered the little ones the opportunity to interact with the actors, creating a special moment for the elementary school students.

As an institution, we celebrate the effort, dedication and teamwork that made this show possible. SGS Musical 2024 reaffirms the commitment of school to the promotion of the arts, the integral development of its students and the creation of cultural spaces that inspire and unite our community.

Congratulations to everyone who made part of this wonderful production! 🌿🎭
