INNOVATION and TECHNOLOGY

The dynamics and the speed with which technology has advanced in society and in our personal lives, has called for educational establishments to make technology an ally. Technology plays an important role not only in education by developing skills in pupils and staff alike but also in administration and the provision of the welfare services.

The School has always been at the forefront of technological solutions and seeks to maintain an infrastructure and access to services that meet the diverse needs of The School. Our goal is to develop interaction and communication skills and through technology to develop a critical discernment in the management of information; and the ability to contribute to generating new knowledge. 

SGS Innovation Centre

The centre brings together several projects to address different topics that can be considered as emerging technologies, or technologies with an educational processes.

The objective of the SGS Innovation Centre is to support teachers and pupils in the teaching-learning processes to achieve greater autonomy and empowerment using the new technologies and methodologies available. 

The SGS Innovation Centre seeks to update the School with innovative methods and technology to refresh and transform the academic process in as far as they enhance the curricula and syllabuses. Likewise, it facilitates learning outside the classroom through projects and experiences that are meaningful to the School Community. 

We carry out cross implementations that offer opportunities to the School Departments and can extend to other areas and to other members of the community such as parents and alumni. 

We have a model of gradual and sustainable innovation to improve the education offered and to familiarise our community with new resources and processes available. Both pedagogically and in the areas of technology, teachers and pupils can put learning into practice to acquire new knowledge and to carry out research, publications and the development of new projects.
