SGS Musical 2022 - Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Missing Mona Lisa

Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Missing Mona Lisa is a great story written again by our former pupil Spiros Stathoulopoulos in which more than 100 years ago, the Mona Lisa was just a portrait of a woman hanging in a museum. Then, in 1911, it was stolen and the well-known Sherlock Holmes and Watson were called to investigate.

On November 26 we enjoyed a great show in which Sherlock and Watson travelled to London, Paris, Rome and Cairo, among other places to solve this case. A great mystery that, in the end, turned the Mona Lisa into the most famous painting in the world.

We had two great performances, the first one at 4:00 p.m. in which our Elementary and Pre-School pupils, besides enjoying this great show, had the opportunity to talk to the artists and ask questions. And the 7:00 p.m. show when at the end the 11th grade pupils presented their traditional dance.

There was a cast of 50 actors and dancers on stage accompanied by our great SGS musical ensembles: the Symphony Orchestra, the Symphonic Band, the String Orchestra and the Pop Band.

We would like to acknowledge and thank our student musicians, actors, dance company, choir, translation team, production assistants, logistics assistants and the entire production team for their hard work and dedication to make this project as always a great show of professional stature.

Thank you for making it unforgettable!

We are very happy for the success of our "SGS Musical 2022 - Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Missing Mona Lisa, a show full of good music and mystery in which we had a full house at our special 7:00 p.m. performance. At the end we had the 11th grade dance in which the students close the show as is traditional for SGS.
