SGS Musical 2025 - The Wizard of Oz
St. George's School is honored to present The Wizard of Ozwhich will take the stage on Saturday, November 29, 2025, with two unmissable performances: at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo.
More than 200 high school students bring this wonderful production to life: actors, dancers, musicians, chorus members, along with the talented student production team and the translation group.
The play was written by two alumni of our school, inspired by the original story by L. Frank Baum, and lovingly adapted especially for our community. Featuring songs from the original 1939 film, as well as contemporary music from pop and rock artists, this show will have you walking to the beat in your own shoes along with Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woman and the Lion, as they discover the meaning of friendship, courage and home.
Each performance will be a celebration of teamwork, creativity and the joy of sharing art.
In addition, the show will be subtitled in Spanish so that everyone can enjoy it to the fullest.

These are the productions we have presented at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo: "The Perfect Nanny" - 2017, "A Big, Bright, Beautiful Green Story" - 2018, and "A Beatles Christmas Carol" - 2019 were unforgettable shows. Our fourth musical "Robin Hood Rhapsody" had a first virtual production. In August 2021 we presented the "Live Stream - Robin Hood Rhapsody" on the digital platform of the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, which reached over 4,000 views and by 2022 - "Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Missing Mona Lisa". In 2023 we presented the great show "Alice Forever and Ever" and in 2024 we had our most recent production with "The Jungle Book".
