We would like to highlight the work of our alumna María del Pilar Ordóñez, class of 1984, who since January 2022 has served as general director of CoCrea. A non-profit foundation dedicated to promoting creativity and social entrepreneurship as tools for sustainable development in the country. To this end, the organization develops programs and projects that seek to strengthen the leadership, entrepreneurship and creativity skills of young people and vulnerable communities.
Among the activities promoted by the foundation are social innovation workshops, entrepreneurship and leadership training, and the implementation of community projects in areas such as education, health, environment and social inclusion.
The CoCrea 2023 call was recently opened, expecting many creative projects to come in that will provide an injection of culture in the areas of design, architecture and decoration. This will continue to enrich the national heritage and impact communities across the country to establish alliances with other organizations and government entities to expand its impact and reach.
We congratulate María del Pilar for her efforts and wish this new call for applications a great success. Those who are interested in learning more about the project or are considering applying, can do so at the following link: https://cocrea.com.co/
