Eleonora_Lozano_Rodrguez_SGS_Alumni_92_2022-2023

We are pleased to congratulate our alumna Eleonora Lozano Rodríguez of the class of 1992 on her reappointment as Dean of the Universidad de los Andes School of Law for a two-year term, effective April 1, 2023.

Eleonora is a lawyer, economist and Master in Economics, has a PhD in Law with Cum Laude distinction, has been a professor at Los Andes Law School for more than 17 years, where she has also served as director of the Master and PhD in Law. She was also director of the Master and Specialization in Taxation.

Currently, Eleonora is a judge of the fourth section of the Council of State and a member of the Arbitration Court of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá. She is passionate about issues related to taxation and public finance in Colombia, as she believes that it is from these fields that we can find solutions to reform the tax system and mitigate social inequality in our country. She has shared her knowledge through numerous and diverse publications.

The dean highlights the strategic objectives of the Law School in its development plan "Our Faculty, Our Project": to meet the needs of the university community, strengthen learning and teaching, contribute to the solution of social problems and achieve organizational sustainability. We congratulate Eleonora Lozano Rodríguez once again on her reappointment and wish her success in this challenging educational role.
