Daniel Áñez pianist of the class of 2000 will perform on March 14 at the Julio Mario Santodomingo Theater.


Daniel Áñez, an outstanding former pupil of the class of 2000. With a solid academic background in the world of music since his years at school, Daniel has obtained master's and doctorate diplomas in piano performance, recognition in international competitions and has given recitals in numerous countries, leaving an indelible mark on the music scene.

Recognized for his dedication to disseminating contemporary Latin American music, his research has focused on the music of Latin American composers from the 1940s. He is also co-founder of the avant-garde concert series No Hay Banda and is a member of the duo Wapiti Ensemble.


Daniel is currently preparing to captivate the Bogota public with a unique recital that fuses works for Martenot waves and solo piano. This concert, which marks his international debut with the Ondéa, will take place at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo as part of the Círculo Colombiano de Música Contemporánea - CCMC on March 14 at 8:00 pm. It will present pieces specially commissioned for the centenary of the Ondéa Martenot, along with classical and contemporary works by prominent composers such as Gordon Monahan, Cassandra Miller and Tristan Murail.
