El proceso inicia entre agosto y septiembre de cada año; se lleva a cabo durante los meses de septiembre, octubre y noviembre principalmente, hasta asignar la totalidad de los cupos. Toda la información se encuentra en el sitio web del Colegio www.sgs.edu.co

Para ingresar a grado Prekínder los aspirantes deben tener 4 años cumplidos en agosto del año de ingreso; para Kínder, deben tener 5 años. El proceso de admisiones se realiza un año antes. 

We offer places mainly in Preschool and exceptionally in other levels in case there are places available at the end of the academic year, however, information will be given continuously for each particular case.

The school offers 120 spaces for Pre-Kinder. It is important to keep in mind that places are assigned on a weekly basis, which is why we invite you to register within the first few weeks after the opening of the Admission Process.

Para nuestro Colegio es muy importante conocer a los aspirantes y a sus familias, identificar sus potencialidades y aquellos aspectos que se pueden estimular, para ayudarlos a lograr un proceso de adaptación y ajuste escolar exitoso.  El Play Day está diseñado para tener un acercamiento cálido y amable con los padres y el aspirante, donde el equipo interdisciplinario a través de actividades lúdicas, recoge información que le permitirá dar retroalimentación oportuna a los padres y orientarlos en las necesidades del aspirante antes del ingreso a la escolaridad formal.

The School has internationalized its education with the British curriculum through the Cambridge Assessment International Education Programme (CAIE). This is the British alternative worldwide for international baccalaureates, such as the Matura (Swiss International Baccalaureate), Abitur (German International Baccalaureate), BAC (French International Baccalaureate), IB (International Baccalaureate), among others.

This programme enables pupils to receive a global education and at the same time take international exams to obtain certificates and diplomas that are recognized by universities, both national and international, as well as the International Baccalaureate (IB).  

Our students graduate with all the possibilities and doors open to apply to local and global universities, as we have evidenced over the years.
 

We believe that homework complements classroom education, since pupils can practice what they have learnt and apply mainly through exercises, research or projects.

 Homework is for pupils and parents do not need to be involved, since the aim is to develop the autonomy and confidence of the pupil. It should be clarified that no grade will be given for these assignments, since the purpose is to reinforce learning.

We believe that homework supports the development of executive skills such as planning, organization, time management, collaborative work and study habits that are very useful in life.  

The school uses the "classroom planner" as an organizational tool, being an important complement in its formative process, in such a way that it allows students to register and organize their school work, guaranteeing that there will be no excesses.

The School is bilingual and English is not taught as a second language. They are taught in the same as pupilswhose native language is English in any country in the world. This begins with the basics in Pre-Kinder. 

In addition, FRENCH is taught as a third language as from 3rd Grade.
 

Saint George's School is on a B calendar. The School year begins in mid-August and ends in June. There is one weeks holiday in October, one-month from December to January, and an Easter break.

The workday begins at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 3:17 p.m., with additional hours from 3:20 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. for the   Extracurricular Activities for 1st to 11th Grade. 

The School has a wide and varied offer of extra-curricular activities for all levels from Pre-Kinder to 11th grade.

For Pre-Kinder, Kinder and Transition the extracurricular activities are swimming, tennis, ballet and Taekwondo. These activities take place during school hours. From Kinder to 1st Grade, soccer and basketball are offered on Saturday mornings and have a symbolic additional cost per semester that includes uniform and material. 

From Transition onwards there are Music Seminars with parents and pupils can learn to play different instruments.

There is day uniform and one for physical education as well as sports gear. As from 4th grade onwards there is a dress uniform and from 3rd Grade onwards girls wear a skirt instead of a blue pinafore dress.

Para los estudiantes nuevos de Prekínder existe el proceso de adaptación a través del Centro de Aprendizaje y Desarrollo Integral CADI, el cual ofrece un ciclo de talleres para las familias que van a ingresar al Colegio con el fin de proporcionarles herramientas para una adaptación de los nuevos estudiantes y padres.

There is also an activity at the beginning of the year, which takes place two weeks before school starts. Pupils and parents can enjoy a morning of games and integration with other families. 

Para otros cursos se realiza un proceso de acompañamiento durante las primeras semanas, de manera que la adaptación sea más amigable.

Yes, this service is one of the flagship programmes at school. We provide an excellent service to the community, under the standards of ISO 9001:2015 and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The healthy, nutritious food is prepared in modern kitchens by trained personnel. This 'Healthy Life Style' model has been presented as a successful case at national and international levels in different congresses and publications.

Yes, there are 50 school routes that cover the city and its surroundings. All buses have a Route Assistant, who guarantees the safety of the pupils.

The school routes have a Satellite Positioning System, that parents can access to visualize the location of the bus. The transport service is provided during school hours and for the extracurricular activities at no additional cost.
